You have just established a World Touring Car Championship team for the new season. You will need to choose a car, gain sponsorship, design a paintjob, and tune it to WTCC specs to give yourself the greatest chance of lifting the Constructors & Drivers Trophy at the end of the season!

Cars:
These are the guideline cars. You can choose other cars if you wish, but they must meet ALL requirements. The cars here can bypass the displacement requirement if they do not meet it.

Spoiler:

Rules:
[/center]

2 Entrants Per team. These design and tune the car that they want to race in, and they both race that same car. You can change the setup of it (keeping inline with restrictions of course) but the setups will need to be the same for each car for that particular race.

There is a mandatory pit stop in every race. You have to pit after the first lap, but before the last lap. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the race.

Requirements:

250k Team entry fee (125k per person)
*NOTE* If you are going solo you need to pay the full 250k*NOTE*
Your specific Driver number on your car.

Restrictions:

  • MAX B500
  • MAX 300 hp
  • Min. Sport Springs & Dampers
  • No AWD Conversion
  • Displacement MAX of 2.5L (unless it is a guideline car)

    In race:
  • TCS: OFF
  • ABS: OFF
  • STM: OFF
  • Autobrake (lol): OFF
  • Damage: Simulation
  • Shifting: any
  • Suggested line: any

sounds pretty good, i know that bmw, seat and volvo enter cars in the wtcc so maybe cars from them, or cars built to BTCC or WTCC regulations?

Hmm, yeah I was thinking about those cars but It made me think even if they were upgraded to similar standards would there be big variations in performance between cars?

Well when I joined I had the idea of doing a BTCC Tourney, but I didn't think anyone would be interested. Luke gave some ideas on how it could work and it's expanded into what it is now to suit a wider group of people. Still open for changes and improvement though Razz

It's good Idea but I don't think it works in forza I'm afraid, I understand that it's still awork in progress however so theres still time to improve the concept

About a month ago I would have told you that would never work but MSM has an FIA GT1 series going right now. All the cars were road cars with PIs varying between B to S class stock. They're all built to low R3 now and can come within 1 second of each other with the same driver (That's if he's using autobrake or is familiar with all cars).

Well anyways, I doubt anyone has mastered all the cars but all of us have our own favorite and we're running very close times between each other. Stevil1399 was the one that built the tunes and he did an amazing job.

One thing I would say though is that its not gonna fall in place immediately. After Stevil sent us the tunes we needed 3 shakedown sessions before the cars were all balanced out. Probably ended up being close to 24 hours of tuning for Stevil.

I realise that, that's why I've thrown it out in the open with practically nothing set in stone so it has the potential of being made fair.

Well, here's a link to the WTCC Cars and BTCC Cars. As you can see BTCC has a bigger variety but it would probably be better if there was a mix of both available, to give more of a choice ( and a few more cars that aren't there but are on forza that we could make use of). I'm going to list pretty much every car i've looked through on Forza and seems like it would fit in well for a B/A class event like this.

Cars that could be used:
  • 2009 Volvo C30 R-Design
  • 2006 Volkswagen Golf GTi
  • 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR
  • 2004 Toyota Altezza RS200
  • 2005 Subaru Legacy B4 2.0 GT (if AWD swap is available)
  • 2007 SEAT Leon CURPA
  • 2008 Saab 9-3 Turbo X (if AWD swap is available)
  • 2003 Renault Sport Clio V6
  • 2007 Peugeot 207 RC
  • 2004 Peugeot 206 RC
  • 2007 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V
  • 2009 Mazda Mazdaspeed 3
  • 2006 Lexus IS350
  • 2007 Honda Civic Type-R
  • 2006 Ford Focus ST
  • 2004 Cadillac CTS-V
  • 2009 BMW 135i Coupe
  • 2009 Alfa Romeo Brera Italia Independant

I would like it to be as similar as WTCC as possible but obviously that's not going to happen. If there is something where I can make a minor adjustment leaning towards either fun or realism, I'm gonna go for fun. So I won't clamp down by making it exact WTCC/BTCC tuning regulations, if it makes it more fun.

I agree with all of these car selections apart form the CTS-V, IS350, 1 series and Clio V6, The first two because they have V8 engines which is kind of not BTCC/WTCC style and they'd have clear Torque and BHP advantages, The clio cause it sticks out like a sore thumb in terms of the other cars and the 1 series cause its a Coupe,

apart from that its looking more interesting now I can picture what cars will be taking part, In terms of V8 saloon racing Im trying to get a Muscle Saloon championship going at the moment.

Sure, you can help whenever/wherever, same goes for everyone. Just post in this thread what you think should be added/ changed or how things should be done and I'll look into it.

Well, to be honest all I really looked a was PI and the stats of the car to get a quick idea of what I could include. I only really chose the BMW because there isn't really anything to fill the void of the 320si from BMW, and that looked like the best replacement. But I can see your reasoning for the other cars.

Now you put it that way I can see your reasoning, It's just a case of getting interest now, same as the championship I'm trying to get off the ground, I think quite a few people are busy at the moment to be honest so give a couple of weeks

PI is just a general performance level of your car. I have 750 GT-R thats dead even with a 723 Ford GT. If a car stock has an hp advantage it just wont get as much engine upgrades as the rest of the cars. Likewise with a car with a high lateral G it wont get as much suspension upgrades as a car with a low lateral G.

maybe, the criteria could be cars with 2000cc engines tuned to b500? that should keep the competition pretty even

I had a look at the Displacement of each of the cars engines, and here's what they are:

  • 2009 Volvo C30 R-Design 2.5L
  • 2006 Volkswagen Golf GTi 2.0L
  • 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR 2.0L
  • 2004 Toyota Altezza RS200 2.0L
  • 2005 Subaru Legacy B4 2.0 GT (if AWD swap is available) 2.0L
  • 2007 SEAT Leon CURPA 2.0L
  • 2008 Saab 9-3 Turbo X 2.8L (the other Saab has a 2.0L displacement, so might be better for it) (if AWD swap is available)
  • 2003 Renault Sport Clio V6 2.9L
  • 2007 Peugeot 207 RC 1.6L
  • 2004 Peugeot 206 RC 2.0L
  • 2007 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V 2.5L
  • 2009 Mazda Mazdaspeed 3 2.3L
  • 2006 Lexus IS350 3.5L Way too powerful
  • 2007 Honda Civic Type-R 2.0L
  • 2006 Ford Focus ST 2.5L (Focus SVT is 2.0L)
  • 2004 Cadillac CTS-V 5.7L
  • 2009 BMW 135i Coupe 3.0L
  • 2009 Alfa Romeo Brera Italia Independant 3.2L

Meh, I don't know what any of this means, so someone who does please tell me if it's fair :S

If you want to run authentic BTCC/WTCC Rules than there will be a limit of 2.0l...but I think the entry list looks fine as it is

Still not confirmed dates and times yet, need to see how many people take interest and the time zone spread between us all.

Edited the Restricitons a little bit.
Now you can upgrade the car to 350 bhp, but the car you choose must start out with 300 bhp or less.

Id be interested if the cars had tighter restrictions such as 2.0 displacement, less than 300hp and race weight reduction. Personal opinion obviously.

Im up for a little tournement, if anyone wants to make a team im up for it.

You've just signed with Scuderia squidFIN. We use a 135i. I'll build a car asap and send the tune over.

That's what it was before, I'm still not too sure on the hp though. I'm tempted to drop it back down to 300 again.

*EDIT* I brought the hp back down to 300. *EDIT*
