Radical Racing

DBF2Killer helped me tune the Radical to a pretty manageable car despite it being in R1. Before you freak out because it is an R1 the diffs are pretty low as is the roll bars making it far easier to not go loopy. The tune is on my storefront for free if you would like to test it out.

The idea for the series is a cart/go cart type fun racing that doesn't take too long, and hits some tracks we don't normally run. I will be posting this on FM.net and HLRs sites to hopefully get more interest (had some random guy in lobby last night who's down for it)

Car:
Radical (no modifications to the build will be allowed)

Rules:
-No entry fee
-Use any view you want
-Use any assists you want
-Cosmetic damage (can do limited if that is what majority wants)
-Only use the builds off mine or DBs storefront

Groups:
-Group 1 - stupid fast get a 5% power and 5% grip front/rear penalty
-Group 2 - fast get a 5% power and 5% front grip penalty
-Group 3 - normal gets a 5% power penalty
-Group 4 - no penalty

Qualifying:
-4 laps before each race to put people in groups at that track determined by myself or DB (dirty laps will count)
Warm Up:
-2 laps before race to get use to penalty

Hock Short 25 laps - 28APR
Nurb Short 20 laps - 5MAY
Maple Valley Short 25 laps - 12MAY
Sunset Short 20 laps - 19MAY
Camino Short (Sunset) 30 laps - 26MAY
Ilberian Short 25 laps - 2JUN
Ladera Short 25 laps - 9JUN

Time:
Saturdays at 7EST

Points:
1st - 10, 2nd - 9, 3rd - 8, 4th - 7, 5th - 6, 6th - 5, 7th - 4, 8th - 3, 9th - 2, 10th - 1, 11th or lower - 0

Prizes:
1st - 5mil
2nd - 2.5 mil
3rd - 1 mil
4th - 900k
5th - 800k
6th - 700k
7th - 600k
8th - 500k
9th - 400k
10th - 300k
11th or lower - 100k

Unfortunately we are having to do alot more leg work to fill lobbies. I have pm'ed people, XBL messaged, posted on other forums and still don't know if I'll have 2 lobbies worth.

I just don't understand it. Our forum isn't that hard to navigate yet people aren't looking or just aren't showing interest.

I'm still thinking despite what our poll on the other page says about people liking S and R3...majority want lame slow C & B class cars...I really can't stand driving anything below A.

I'm slowly giving up though, I bounced around FM.net and found 3 other series I will be joining since no one here signs up for anything despite large amounts of work and catering by the host(s). Let me know if you are looking for anything to join.

If you want to run it still I'd be down to run it even with a few people - I am going to start testing cars to see what grip penelty would be necessary to make the AI a bit of a challenge for me.

I am thinking maybe run it with 20% grip and then the AI could compete, could get a full field that way.

Other option is we just run em like a Sunday morning IVPC kinda thing. Those who show up sweet, more the better, those who don't - their loss?

Sorry I wasn't able to make it, I had a 21st that ended up being a lot bigger than I thought iw was going to be I'll be there next week!

Pushed back one week due to only 3 of us being on. May end up in another scratched series due to lack of interest

Any chance of moving the start time to 7:30? It would be more likely I can make it then.

I suggested moving to 8-8:30 as races should be fairly quick.

Needs a few more tweaks to the tune, but the "Beer Buggy" is ready to roll!

I'm fine with 8pm EST if you guys are. Just didn't want to cut it too close to Turtles Rolex.
