FLR Spring 2010 Regions TournamentThe Regions Tournament is a global endeavor committed to clean, fun racing. Participants will race in a variety of tracks, around the world. Drivers will sign up to specific car manufacturor regions, and be limited to vehicles from only that region. Class restrictions and the tournament process are to follow
[1] Registration-FLR Drivers will sign up under which specific region of car make, (Also known as country of origin) they choose. Once a driver has signed up for a region, his/her cars are RESTRICTED to only that region.
-Drivers will race as a team in interregional races.
-Regional Teams will choose designated team car for A class, and R3 class, very similar to the FLR World Series. The team must STAY with their chosen cars once competition begins.
If enough applicants, drivers will also race amongst themselves, WITHIN region, following finale of inter regional competition. Individual races will pit all Team USA versus themselves, all Team Asia versus themselves, etc. etc.
Individual races will use chosen Team Car, for both A and R3 class racing. In this instance, all "Team Asia" drivers for example will use the team A and R3 Class car, except only race among themselves in an individual tournament.
All race events will begin with A class races. R3 class race will follow after. Akin to FLR World Series, if enough interest, drivers will sign up for which region, as well as what CLASS they want to run.
There will be 4 primary drivers, with 2 reserve drivers from each region, for each class. Akin to World Series, drivers may be primary of one class, and reserve of another. DRIVERS HOWEVER, CANNOT BE PRIMARY DRIVER IN BOTH CLASSES, ONLY ALLOWED TO BE ONE PRIMARY DRIVER AT MOST.

Position | Points |
1st | 7 Points |
2nd | 5 Points |
3rd | 3 Points |
4th | 1 Point |
- - Qualifying Procedure
1. A lobby will be set up (See Below)
2. Upon starting the session, all drivers will drive a lap with NO overtaking allowed.
3. This first lap will be a delayed start for each car, helping to ensure that a free run for each driver is somewhat acheivable.
4. Your qualifying laps will start from lap 2 onwards.
5. All drivers must complete the set allocation of qualifying laps to post a time.
6. The results posted on screen at the end of qualifying are final.
Qualifying Lap Breakdown
1. Start Lap 1 - Delayed start per car to try and ensure, minimal contact racing (This is your out lap)
2. Lap 2 - 6 These are your 5 allocated qualifying laps.
It is within the best interests of the drivers to ensure that a good clean lap is driven. Please do not hinder other drivers on track, as its their qualifying session too.
All drivers attending are required to be present for the duration of qualifying.
QUALIFYING LOBBY SETUP
1. Laps : 6
2. Damage Difficulty: Simulated
3. Collision Mode: Always off (This is so no drafting is allowed which would void your lap time via the game mechanics)
4. Grid Ordering: Random
5. Roll off delay: 8s (But dependant on track)
6. End of Race Timer: Unlimited
7. Compare Best Lap: Yes (Winner is the player with the best Lap)
[7] THE RACEDrivers starting positions on the grid are determined by the previous qualifying session. . The main race will then take place adhering to the lobby setup below.
Each race grid will be dictated via lobby points.
If there is a race incident within the first 2 laps, a restart will be considered.
The race will last 20 laps for A Class and 25 Laps for R3 Class with one mandatory pitstop.

ENTERING AND EXITING THE PITS
When entering and exiting the pits you must stay within the given restrictions of the track. The pit lane exit line must not be crossed at any time. The exit line is there to ensure a safe return to the race track, thus reducing the risk of an incident. Any failure on a driver’s part to adhere to this rule will result in a time penalty applied after the race. Thus, potentially promoting a driver in the standings.
Any driver not completing the pitstop will be disqualified from the race. Thus possibly promoting other drivers in points and positions after race completion.
- - RACE LOBBY SETUP
1. Laps : 20 A Class / 25 R3 Class
2. Damage Difficulty: Simulation
3. Grid Determined by: Lobby Points
4. Collision Mode: Always On
5. End of Race Timer: Unlimited
- - RACE INCIDENTS AND FLAGS
Contact between cars in close racing such as Forza 3 can and will at times be unavoidable. Whilst sometimes unavoidable, every driver is expected to race cleanly and fairly. Below is a brief outline as to what and what isn't permitted.
Permitted
1. Close racing that results in slight contact of your opponents car. (Otherwise known as rubbing)
2. In the result of your car spinning off of the track, being mindful of any oncoming traffic whilst rejoining the track
3. Covering your position: A defending driver may move off-line to defend his position and then move back to his original line on the way into a corner, (but cannot push a rival on that line off the track).
Not Permitted
1. NO aggressive bumping allowed.
2. Returning blindly onto the track, which result's in a race incident. Be mindful of your surroundings, you could face an after race penalty or even disqualification if deemed severe enough.
3. In the event that a driver negotiates a corner illegally and gains a place. That driver is expected and required to surrender his position to the driver he overtook. Failure to do can and will in most cases result in disqualification after the race. (Also see point 5)
4. Overtaking in a manner that may be construed as aggressive. (Read aggressive Bumping) There is only so much room entering a corner. Pushing someone out of the way to gain a place is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. If a driver gains a position in this manner, that driver is expected to surrender his position to the driver he overtook. Failure to do so can and will result in a penalty applied after the race. Repeated violations of this rule will result in disqualification.
5. All drivers must adhere to the track at all times. Any detraction from this will be investigated after the race. (More than two wheels off the designated track will result in a penalty. (the only two exceptions to this are 1. Your car has been involved in an incident and leaves the track 2. Entering or exiting the pits. Corner cutting will not be tolerated. **)
**Any driver found not adhering to the above rules, can expect a demotion in finishing position or disqualification from the race in deemed severe enough.**
Penalties
As stated above, drivers can expect to recieve a penalty for any of the infractions listed. A Penalty will either be time added to your final race time or a points reduction (from your team total if deemed serious enough, potentially putting you lower in the final standings.
A penalty will be the time of an average pitstop (simulating a drive through penalty) + 20 seconds
If a driver repeatedly disregards the rules, I will be forced to review your eligibility to race.
FLAGS
Yellow FLag
In the event that an incident has happened on track with two or more cars, a yellow flag will be announced. (See below for procedure).
If there is a crash, there will be a yellow flag.
1. First place driver and all other drivers will slow down to 60 MPH or 96 KPH.
2. First place driver will act as the Official Safety Car. (NO overtaking is permitted under yellow flag conditions)
3. All Drivers are to form a single file line behind each other.
4. Drivers will remain in yellow flag formation until the afflicted car(s) make it to the pit and have rejoined the back of the race pack.
5. Cars that have been involved in the incident are permitted to exceed the the restricted 60MPH / 96KPH speed restriction to ensure a prompt rejoining of the race pack.
6. Once all cars are present and in position, the lead car dictates speed to ensure a prompt and fair return to race conditions. The yellow flag is lifted at the end of that lap. (Upon crossing the start / finish line the race is restarted) NO overtaking allowed until race restart.
7. If crash occurs on last lap, there will be no yellow flag.
In the event that any driver overtakes under a yellow flag, it is the responsibilty of said driver to slow down and re-take his correct position. Race footage will be viewed after the race to ensure that fair play in such matters has occured.
If after an incident has occurred, and a driver is unhappy with the on track conduct of another driver (Unsporting tactics are used, such as driver not adhering to the stipulated race rules) then please contact the person who is running the lobby. - All race investigations will be dealt with in a timely manner after race completion.
