V8 Supercars series

this is a page for the V8 supercar series.....yeaaaah

anyway, to make this as competitive as possible without being a complete prat these are the rules.

rules

Stock upgrades (rims not included)

Tuning is allowed.

stability control off, simulation steering on. (rest is upto you)

full damage and fuel and tyre wear!!!

for now this is a fun series if you will, so no points, championship winners, just racing.

rules while on track

dont be a cornbeef. so no spinning others out, pushing etc oh and try not to purposefully block as it will probably cause a accident....and thats no fun.

1 mandatory pit stop is required

TRACKS:

all 20 laps with one mandatory pitstop and 3 lap qualifier and standing start

time for all races will be Sundays 2pm NZ Standard time (GMT + 12)


1st: Mazda Laguna Seca FULL WINNER: MAKO

2nd: Twin Ring Motegi FULL

3rd: Infineon Long Course

4th Hockenhiemring FULL

5th Camino Viejo de monserrate extreame (bathurst substitute)

6th Sebring Full (final race)

note the first race has not yet been held because of the overall lack of activity recently on this site, having the first race this weekend would be awesome, otherwise I will postbone it until the site picks back up again.

please remember that this is not so much a series but social racing more or less, so no point systems or series champion.

just racing, so you can help expand FLR by taKing part, uploading footage to the youtubes (I will be doing so) inviting non FLR members (I have)

so if you wish to have a race with other FLR members and possible new members just let me know whenever.

this isnt sign up before the season thing. ( I am aware of the fact that people are spread around the world and actually have more important things to do so just come and go as you please is my idea behind this partial disorganization)

although it was made a dirty lap because I went off in the last sector of the previous lap

I am hoping for this weekend coming, I am moving house at the moment, so there is a small chance that I will be unavailable.

the last few weekends I have been in a national kickboxing championship which leads to a place in the world championships next year.

so anyway I am hoping for this weekend.


anyone who has painted up a car for this series just post it here.

here is mine.

Made a few minor adjustments this morning and ran a clean 1:31.6xx. Had a few splits for mid 31.5's, maybe even a 31.4. Not very consistent though because I'm not using any assists. I won't be turning on TCS though, that would take the fun and the challenge out of it.

As far as my paint, I'm just going to run the Mothers livery. It's one of my favorites in the series.

your inconsistent?!!, pfffft when I turn off the assists and put it in manual, I either do a slow lap, crash, or do a super quick lap.

these cars are powerful, unpredictable and rather large. these cars are not the easiest cars to drive in the game.

my average lap time is maybe around 1.32-1.33

in order to be more consistent I have to switch back to auto transmission

sorry about no race this weekend I was moving house and I am on my GF 3 gig usb internet atm so hopefully next weekend

I will try my very best to get the race running this week end, remember the race is tomorrow

Well done to mako for winning the first race, I made a rather large mistake on the 2nd lap, and I also made the mistake of pushing the car to hard, after spinning out on the 15th lap ( give or take a few laps), I was over half a lap behind, that was when I gave up all hope of catching the blistering mako.

i got home over an hour too late, and my hands and body hurting like he11 from hanging drywall, mudding and taping all day. sorry to miss it, i like these cars.

Fun race, these cars are a handful but fun to drive. Kept pushing for better laps times without losing it. My fingers were numb by the end!!
