| Rules and Regulations REQUIRED READING:
- Spoiler:
1. GT will use the following points system:
1st place 25 points 2nd place 18 points 3rd place 15 points 4th place 12 points 5th place 10 points 6th place 8 points 7th place 6 points 8th place 4 points
2. Ties
Championship ties will be decided by amount of wins. The driver with the higher amount of wins will win the tie. If in the event the amount of wins is equal, 2nd place finishes will be used, etc.
3. Lobby set up: All races are done by time and not by lap count. The timer will be set to the length of the race, plus an additional 5 minutes to allow a pace lap and warm up, plus an additional 3-5 minutes at the end to allow all drivers to complete their final lap and record their distance traveled at the line.
4. Starting grid
Driver will reorganize after the start of a race from fastest to lowest qualifying time with the no qualifying cars starting from the pitlane.
5. Starting
Starts will be rolling starts, 2 abreast staggered with reasonable distances between all cars. Due to mechanisms that are in place to prevent rubber banding, this will be severely punished.
6. Warm Up Lap and Starting Procedure
All cars will leave slowly off the line and reorganize into the correct qualifying order by the end of the lap. ALL CARS must stay to the left of the track, and cars will be directed 1 by 1 to move up or down the pack. Do not exceed 2nd gear at anytime and maintain 300 feet between all cars. Expect pace laps varying from 55-65 mph. ALWAYS anticipate a slow down at hairpins and adjust accordingly.
All cars will then stagger their positions and stop on the last back stretch before the start/finish straight. At the 4:45.00 mark in the race the leader will accelerate to 60 mph and all cars will follow. The leader will start the race at approximately 5:00.00 . No passing or 2 wide racing may occur before the start/finish line. If this does occur it will be investigated if one of the cars did not start in a timely manner.
7. There are no traditional MSM restarts. In the event of lap 1 mayhem, the race will be called to caution and all damaged cars are allowed to pit and will rejoin at the back of the pack. The race will then follow the starting procedures over again in a quick manner. If another accident occurs, the race will continue unless the wreck puts the race in danger in which case the race will not be “restarted” rather it will be put into a straight caution where positions gained or lost stay the same.
7. Incidents
All incidents will be reviewed by case. No incidents will be discussed outside of the Steward's room. This applies to steward's as well. All discussion must take place in the public eye. No personal reasons may interfere with the decisions in the steward's verdict.
7.2 – Stewards
Current Race Stewards:
Angel0fAnarchy7 Trashskills Buldzjin
Race Stewards will have final say on all calls. If a call is still contested after the official statement then the incident will be re-reviewed by Angel0fAnarchy7 and a call will be made within 24 hours. If a incident does need further review you will be expelled for starting any arguments on the forum. You are allowed to report the incident on the forum, but please do not point blame or infer someone was at fault.
8. Cautions
All accidents must be announced over game chat.
All possible attempts to avoid calling a caution will be made due to the timed nature of our races. If necessary a caution will be called to allow severely damaged cars to pit and rejoin at the back of the pack.
In the event a caution is called all cars must slow down REASONABLY to 80 mph and pass the start and finish line once. Any passing after a caution is a Medium Severity Incident.
All cars will then complete the next lap at a speed not exceeding 120 mph and line up on the starting grid in the order they reach the grid, GT Class must line up single file on the outside.
The race resumes at the next 15 second mark on the clock after the green light is given to restart.
1. Race Suspension
If under unforeseen circumstances the race needs to be suspended and is past the 45 minute mark, the race will be completed and no attempt to restart will be made
If the race is under the 45 minute mark, the race will not be scored but MAY be rescheduled to the next day at the discretion of the organizer.
2. Hardware Problems
2.1 XBL Parties All drivers must be able to at least CLEARLY hear everything said in parties.
2.2 Controllers Any malfunction of your controller is your problem, no exceptions.
2.3 Internet Internet problems are extremely serious and detrimental to the safety of other drivers. Anyone experiencing lag greater for 2 minutes will be asked to go to spectator mode and be classified as a mechanical failure.
Being disconnected will also earn a classification as a mechanical failure.
3. Pit Stops
a. All cars must make one pit stop in all 44 min+ races. All cars must make 2 pitstops in a race lasting longer 1 1/2 hours. b. You must not cross any pit exit line on your way out. c. Do not at anytime block the exit or entrance. This is a High Severity Incident
4. Practice Sessions Practice Sessions will be done as necessary to ensure a safe and fair racing environment. There will be no planned sessions, and any sessions that do happen will be random.
5. Qualifying
Qualifying will take place 30 minutes before the scheduled start of a race. You will have 20 minutes to set a lap time for the race. Remember that clean times take priority over dirty times.
7. Tuning
There are no tuning restrictions for any series unless otherwise specified
8. Blue Flags If a lapped car blocks a leading car from coming through then the driver can appeal to an Official. If the driver at fault is perceived to have persistently blocked the faster car they may receive a penalty.
If you do not communicate your pass, the overtaking car is at fault under most circumstances.
VWEC employs a victory penalty in all of its races to ensure equal opportunities. The four highest finishing drivers will be given a power handicap of 15%, 10%, 5%, and 5% respectively for the following race. This will remain with them for the next 3 races and will then clear UNLESS they incur another power handicap in the next 3 races. In this case then the first and second handicap will be added together up to maximum of 15%.

| Just a thought, if your going to open this up to the league, shouldn't you have some stewards that aren't from MSM? Just so there is the appearance of impartiality. | |

| That is the plan but we do need interest from multiple people to facilitate the need for a FLR steward. If we can get two or three people from here then I will be more than happy to add another steward (s) |

| I have to do some test driving, but I should be in for this series. (You are killing me with the total race time btw lol)
I would be in either the Acura LMP, Audi LMP, or Panoz GT, Audi GT.
Just to be sure there is no team points correct? | |

Just to be sure there is no team points correct? Define team, league teams no, but if you want to split a car with someone then you will be scored in the drivers standings as one bracket (Ever watch Grand Am? Same concept). Otherwise no there isn't. |

| In the event we do not have at least 5 LMP drivers, LMP will be dropped from the schedule and only the GT class will compete. this will be decided on Friday the 27th at the latest to still provide time for testing to any LMP driver switching to GT.
The GT car tunes have NOT been finished yet, testing is currently being conducted to decide if all cars will run in the 800-830 PI range (To allow for the Aston Martin, Maserati, and Corvette to compete as well) or if cars will be kept in their stock 730-760 incarnation. This is of course with the exception to the Z4 and R8 which need to be upgraded to compete. The Maserati MCGT4 has been dropped officially.
Please note, that sign up will close 3 days before Hockenheim (Feb 1st) and reopen the day after the race. Sign up will then close again 3 days before Laguna Seca (feb 22nd) and reopen the day after. The FINAL sign up period before Sebring will be open till March 14th.

| I don't think I will be in this series - about an hour straight of racing is more my style, hope the series goes well for you. | |
