Ok so I've been looking into doing a limited tuning series for a while now run along a format that was used in a previous series that I entered in with some Australians who I play with.
The series that I plan to run eventually is going to be based of the continental tire series GS division. so the cars that I'm looking at using will be the Mustang GT500 (2010), Camaro SS, BMW M3 E92, Porsche Cayman and the Subarau Imprezza
I'm going to organise a race, and for this race I'm going to limit it to 3 cars which will be the Mustang GT500, BMW M3 and the Cayman at Suzka
This will be a challenging series (not going to lie the car's don't have aero and handle like balls) on challenging tracks so i hope this will be a taste of that
So the race will be 2x 15 laps at Suzuka with a qualifying session before hand
The grid in race will be set by the qualifying order and the grid in race 2 will be set by reverse lobby points. this provides for some pretty close and hectic racing in the 2nd race and it gives a chance for some of the slower guys to mix it with the faster guys.
I wont post the builds just yet but I will soon. Basically you can only tune the tire pressure, the diff, the roll bars, final drive and breaks.
On the cars the Mustang is clearly the fastest but it's also very forgiving but the handling isn't the best, the Cayman is really nimble, a little bit slower but easily the best handling. The M3 is inbeween the two but it is very unforgiving and is very prone to kicking its tail out and if you lock the breaks, well you're not going to recover
Anyway post if you're interested!
