DTM Tournament Idea

Okay, I've recently been using my two DTM cars (Audi A4 & Mercedes C-Class) and noticed how fun they are to drive. I thought it would be a good idea to run a Series based around the championship. Here are my idea's so far:

Only Audi A4 touring, Mercedes C-Class, Audi TT Touring and Opel Astra touring cars are eligible

Cars must have race limiters fitted, no custom rims are allowed

Participants can create custom tuning setups if they please

Races will be between 45-60 minutes long

Not sure whether to charge an entry fee due to the cost of the cars

People would be allowed to enter in teams or run as an independent.

Racing liveries are required, don't have to be a work of art so long as they feature numbers on either side and on the bonnet (hood)

Not sure whether to only make a number of cars available ie, only 3 A4's/C-Class's/TT's/Astra/s permitted in a lobby at any one time. Ideally I would like there to be a 50/50 grid but due to the C-class costing 800,000Cr compared with the Audi costing 400,000Cr I feel this could be unfair.

TCS is allowed and STRONGLY recommended, other assists will be switched off

Any idea's on the Series, does anyone feel it would be too expensive or do you like the idea?

It dazzles other drivers while I make my initial escape......any ideas for the tournament ?

I don't think restrictors should be taken off, I think it should be standard but with tuning.

Also what assists are to be used, I reccomend allowing TCS with these cars

Good point, I was planning on allowing TCS forgot to mention it though, would be suicide without, it should be okay without the other driving aids

Its a restrictor, or whatever you want to call it, they're are fitted as standard on most racing cars in forza including these touring cars, And yes I did say C-Class if your referring to how much it costs I don't understand why it's so much more expensive then all the other DTM cars, maybe someone at T10 hates Mercedes

No, it wasn't about the cost. I didn't realize any C class cars used the restrictors. Anyways, I like this idea. I will be watching this, and if it's at a time I can make, I'd be up for this!

Its worth a go eh.... with it being R2 I predict it will be very close, I don't think you should have a problem. I think the bigger problem for you if finding a time that you can attend, but I'm working on it at the moment

R2 races in german touring cars without worrying about Moslers and the Mazda Race car im interested though I would prefer the races to be on the Thursdays as Im at my maths tutor on Wednesday nights

Like I've said Soulfire, I'm looking at Wednesday or Thursday so hopefully I should be able to slot you in,

I'm going to make a new thread which will be the real deal tomorrow in the User Created Tournaments section, I think races will be run on a Thursday evening at 8pm GMT -0 but I'll think about it some more overnight. I'm planning on running two lobbies if there is enough interest. Make sure you register your interest I plan on getting this started as soon as possible.

Just a dumb question. No assists = no braking line? Because usually braking line isn't counted as an assist in some tourneys, that's all xD

Braking line will be allowed yes, I will be posting a more in-depth ruleset as part of the new thread which will be up tomorrow for entries, Is anyone free for a test session this Thursday at around 8pm GMT -0?
